Jangada Lounge Chair and Ottomane by Jean Gillon ,1970s

Brazilian architect and designer Jean Gillon, originally from Romania, designed this iconic masterpiece in 1968.
The inspiration for this creation was a raft-like fishing boat from the north of Brazil: the Jangada. The designer attached a fishing net-like nylon mesh to the trapezoidal frame, which is reminiscent of the silhouette of the jangadas, which supports the large leather cushion.
